Chaplaincy

As a faith-based university, McU places great emphasis on the spiritual and moral growth of its students hence the need for the Chaplaincy Direoctare in the office of the Vice-Chancellor.  The foundation Director of Chaplaincy Services of McU was Rev. Ezekiel O. Abikoye who retired on attaining the statutory retirement age in 2018 and was succeeded by Rev. Emmanuel O. Kayode in February 2019.  The Directorate is charged with the organization of religious activities on campus for both students and staff.  It is also engaged in spiritual and other personal counseling matters as may be required by students

The Chaplaincy, under the direction of the University Chaplain, is established to cater for the spiritual life on campus. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this Unit for counseling and advice.

Since its establishment in 2012, McPherson University has positioned herself as a distinct and vision-driven, leaders-producing Institution that is highly committed to providing a world class education to students from various tribes and people in Nigeria and beyond. The Institution is fast taking shape as the hub of intellectuals.

At McPherson, we are dedicated to ensuring that students are thoroughly prepared for the now and future as the world is changing. Programmes, spiritual and social activities are structured to enhance students’ academic ability and minimize distractions.

The Institution is blessed with nearly two hundred (200) experienced, courteous and devoted staff, comprising experienced academics, amiable administrative staff and well-motivated auxiliary staff, who are ever-ready, to go extra mile in assisting students and visitors with necessary information relating to the University, its Colleges and programmes. For always going extra mile, Prof. Agunbiade once described the crop of workforce as fine, happy and dedicated group of people who are poised to ensure the students become the best and brightest in their chosen paths.
