College of Humanities

As a licensed Institution, The College of Humanities [COLHUM] currently offers courses leading to Honour Degrees of Bachelor of Science [BA] in English Language, History & International Studies and Religious Studies. The Institution also runs pre-degree programmes in selected courses. All these courses are handled by seasoned and experienced scholars armed with immense national and international exposures and experiences.

  Dean of College of Humanities  Prof. Kenneth Chukwumeka Nwoko

Prof. Kenneth Chukwumeka Nwoko is the current Dean, College of Humanities (COLHUM).

Prior to his appointment as the first Professor of History & International Studies in the Institution, Prof. Nwoko was the Head, Department of History & International Studies.

The 2015 Carnegie Corporation of New York Scholar has served the University as Chairman of University Admission Enrolment Committee; twice as Chairman, Convocation and Ceremonial Committee aside his appointment as University Orator.

Prof. Nwoko was also a Laureate of CODESRIA’s Afro-Arab Advanced Institute, Rabat, Morocco; a Residential Fellow of the African Peace Building Network (APN) of the Social Research Council (SSRC), USA; Visiting Fellow of the World Peace Foundation at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts; and an External Scholar, Kofi Anan International Peace Keeping and Training Centre, Accra Ghana among others.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria where he bagged Bachelor, masters and doctor of philosophy degrees.

Prof. Nwoko is a member of the McU Echo Editorial Board and associate editor of McU’s HUMASS Journal.
