MCPHERSON University is an initiative of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria that has taken education as one of its basic foundations. The church in its quest to develop and equip men and women for leadership and service, established a seminary in Ikorodu, Lagos state in 1955. The seminary is perhaps the best in the country today. The church has also established Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools in many towns and cities of Nigeria.
MCPHERSON University is being established on the philosophy of creating a modern University that will encourage intellectual productivity and enhance the academic as well as the professional skills of its students and facility. Because of the belief of the Church in developing men and women for leadership and service, the mission of MCPHERSON University will be to provide qualitative, functional and sound education with godly virtues that will prepare its graduates for leadership and positive impact on the society. MCPHERSON University will be a world class institution that is equipped with modern ICT-driven facilities.
